As the demand for weight loss medicines increases but supply remains limited, the risk of people turning to unregulated websites and social media to buy them grows.

Medicines obtained from such sites can pose a real risk to health.

RPS has worked with BBC’s Morning Live programme to highlight the risks of buying from such sites. Director of England James Davies spoke to the programme about how the public can identify a legitimate pharmacy when buying medicines online, and the importance of balancing the risks and benefits of weight loss medicines when deciding to take them.
