The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has responded to a call for evidence by a House of Commons committee examining legislation on assisted dying.
On 29 November 2024, the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill passed its Second Reading stage and will now be considered by MPs in several committee sessions.
Whilst RPS has a neutral position on the principle of assisted dying, in the written submission we have urged the Bill Committee to reflect on a number of key issues, including:
